Through a patented continuous flow process, Particular Materials converts hazardous metal-containing wastewaters, such as spent baths from surface finishing, into ultrafine nanomaterials, enabling a fully circular upcycling approach to materials synthesis.
Unlike conventional wastewater treatments that generate toxic sludge and costly disposal, GREEN Silver recovers valuable metals (like silver), eliminates pollutants (e.g. cyanides), and transforms waste into silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) with direct market applications.

This pioneering route demonstrates that waste-grade precursors can replace lab-grade reagents, reducing costand environmental impact while unlocking the high-performance potential of nanomaterials.
The project builds on previous results from GREEN SWAMP (EIT Raw Materials) and is now targeting galvanic silver recovery as a scalable, sustainable first application.
