Particular Materials is proud to have been selected as one of the five finalists of the Mining Innovation and Research Battlefield 2024, a high-profile competition convened by the Development Partner Institute (DPI) and Investing in African Mining Indaba, the world's largest African mining investment event.

The Battlefield is a platform designed to unearth innovative solutions to mining's most intractable challenges. This year's edition focused on a particularly timely question: the role of responsible collaboration between large-scale and artisanal mining in the context of the just energy transition. Finalists were awarded the opportunity to present their concepts at Mining Indaba, on the Insiders stage, in front of industry experts from across the mining sector.
Our CEO Francesco Zanin pitched Elementag to an audience of leading mining industry professionals, presenting it as a solution for invisible, permanent material traceability, a technology with significant implications for supply chain transparency and authenticity in the mining and metals sector.

Being selected for this competition is a meaningful recognition of Elementag's potential beyond its core markets, and a confirmation that the need for reliable, unforgeable material identification resonates across industries, including those at the frontier of the energy transition.
