Lithium Iron Phosphate

(LFP - LiFePO4)

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4 or LFP) is an olivine-type phosphate well known for its excellent thermal stability, flat voltage profile, and high safety compared to layered oxide cathodes. When engineered at the nanoscale, LiFePO4 exhibits significantly improved lithium-ion diffusion and electronic transport, overcoming its intrinsically low conductivity. These properties make LiFePO4 nanoparticles widely used as cathode materials in lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, stationary energy storage, and portable electronics, where long cycle life and safety are critical.
