(La4Ni3O10)
La4Ni3O10 is a higher-order member (n=3) of the Ruddlesden–Popper nickelate series, composed of three consecutive perovskite layers separated by LaO planes. This intermediate structural dimensionality results in tunable electronic properties that bridge two-dimensional and three-dimensional behavior. The material typically shows metallic conductivity, with properties that are highly sensitive to temperature, pressure, and chemical doping. The presence of multiple inequivalent nickel sites leads to complex electronic structures and makes La4Ni3O10 an excellent platform for investigating electronic correlations and phase transitions. It is considered a promising candidate for advanced functional oxides in catalysis and electronic devices.
